Concussions in Youth Athletes
LL has posted information about Concussions in Youth Athletes (including information on pending legislation in many states). http://www.littleleague.org/learn/programs/childprotection/concussions.htm Excerpt from LL Website: "Not every state has adopted concussion laws, and not every state’s concussion law is applicable to a LLB program. Nevertheless, in keeping with its focus on protecting the health, safety and welfare of children, Little League International strongly encourages all leagues and teams to not only comply with any applicable state laws, but also, to review the information and training materials on concussions which are available free of charge on the Centers For Disease Control website ..."

The Rules on Playing Year (where is Frank B?)
OK, thanks guys. This is what I suspect. A team of 9 year olds, chooses the tournament team. That tournament team becomes a travel team past the LL date of August. They practice together all winter as a team. When the league opens in 10 year olds, the coach drafts as many of them as he can, then attempts to get as many of them voted on Tournament team each year. So basically the nucleaus of the team stays together and practices the other 9 month together for 4 to 5 years. Smells to high heaven to me. I think the LL local board is on to this guy, but I wanted some advice on how to quell this locally. Frank, all you said was, and I'm paraphrasing here, "that is another entirely different story." It was that story I was trying to have you reinvoke!

Re: The Rules on Playing Year (where is Frank B?)
Here I am NELL; I don't recall "saying" what you attribute to me. However, I do remember bringing forward and disputing what the 2011 LLWS announcers had said several times over the air, that some of the LL players, playing as a team at Williamsport, had been playing together as a local LL team, year after year, their entire LL career. Lou, in his reply, provides how it may happen as a travel team,;but virtually impossible as a LL entity. I agree with his assessment! Frank!
